The Well is deeply grieved and heartbroken that our friend and fearless leader has passed away the morning of August 27th.

Please pray for her family, husband and six beloved children who have lost their wife, mom, daughter and sister.

The hole that our community feels will go far and wide because she had a soul connection with almost everyone she met. She has championed women and sat with them as hundreds of babies have entered the world. She has ferociously loved her team and community and we will grieve her loss and find ways to continue her incredible legacy.

If you are able, please consider donating to a fund for her family as they grieve her loss and handle medical bills.

POV: Your doula team is just checking…

Because we’re not saying you forgot anything…

…but did you pack the overnight diapers?
Did you book that overnight postpartum support?
And PLEASE tell us you checked your ni**le fl**ge size.

Consider this your lovingly judgmental reminder from the women who have seen it all. 💅🏼

Save this for later. Send it to your pregnant bestie. And tag the friend who is currently saying, “I still have plenty of time.” 😂

This is for all the doula girlies ✨

Birth can be beautiful, powerful, unpredictable — and sometimes, things don’t go exactly as planned.

That’s why we’re excited to offer our Birth Emergency Skills Class at The Well! 🤍

This is an opportunity for doulas to expand their skill set, grow their confidence, and learn alongside licensed midwives who will be coming in to teach and share their knowledge and experience.

✨ Learn skills that can help you feel more prepared
✨ Gain confidence in emergency situations
✨ Learn from licensed midwives
✨ Expand your doula toolbox
✨ Connect with other birth professionals

Because being an amazing doula isn’t just about supporting the normal birth experience — it’s also about knowing how to stay calm, recognize when something is changing, and support your client and birth team when the unexpected happens.

Whether you’re a newer doula or have been supporting families for years, there’s always more to learn.

📅 Date: October 3rd
📍 Location: Wright Pediatric Dentistry
⏰ Time: 9:00AM - 3:00PM

This is what support looks like.

Not telling you what to choose.
Not making decisions for you.
Not handing you a checklist and sending you on your way.

It’s sitting beside you.
Answering the questions you didn’t know to ask.
Helping you understand your options.
Making space for your fears.
Giving you information without judgment.

Because the goal isn’t to make you dependent on your birth team.

The goal is to leave you feeling more confident in yourself.

Know your options.
Know yourself.
Build your support.

That’s the kind of care we believe every woman deserves. 🤍

We cannot keep telling mothers, “Just ask for help,” and then leave them to figure out what happens next.

Postpartum mothers don’t need more platitudes.

They need people who will SHOW UP.

Bring the meal.
Do the dishes.
Hold the baby if she wants you to.
Sit with her.
Ask the uncomfortable questions.
Help her find care.
Check on her tomorrow—not just today.

And if you’re a birth worker, provider, family member, friend, church, community, or neighbor:

Stop asking what mothers need and start asking what YOU can do.

Because a village isn’t something we tell mothers to find.

A village is something WE BUILD.

So here’s the challenge: COMMENT “I’M IN” and tell us ONE thing you can do to support a postpartum mother.

Then go do it.

Mothers deserve care BEFORE crisis. National
