Sweet patients...I am going to be out of the office from 12:30 until 2:00pm today so that I can attend the service for a dear friend that we lost this weekend. The doors will remain open if you need to stop by to get a chart started, vitals signs, or labs then I can finish up with a telemedicine call once I am back at the office. Brandy

Clinic On Sixth Family...we have a patient beginning chemo this morning for pancreatic cancer. Please lift Mr. J, his beautiful wife and family up as they begin this journey. Pray for guidance for the skilled hands caring for him and for the chemo to do its work quickly so that he can have the surgery that he needs to save his life. Pray for the chemo to have minimal side effects and for continued strength.

PART-TIME MEDICAL ASSISTANT NEEDED

We are seeking a dependable, efficient, and compassionate part-time Medical Assistant. This position will be for Fridays-all day and the possibility to fill in as needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, obtaining vital signs, documenting patient complaints, and preparing patients for examination.

Sweet patients...our office will be closed today, Monday, June 1st, as several of us wrap up vacation. We will return to our regular business hours tomorrow. Sweet patients...This Thursday, April 30th, I will be traveling to watch my son's baseball team in the second round of playoffs. The office will be open, but I can only be seen via telemed. If you come to the office, the staff will check you in, do a quick assessment for me then link us on a videochat. We will not be able to do any exams that require hands on such as activity related physicals or DOT exams. The office will be fully staffed on Friday. Thank you. Brandy

Free breast exams! Continuing a tradition that we began 12 years ago, The Clinic on Sixth will offer free breast exams during the month of Oct. No appointment, no cards, no paperwork. You don't even have to tell us your name if you don't want to. If you are over 40, you can make an appt for a mammogram by going to www.eamc.org and clicking on the schedule tab. If you are under 40 and have a lump, we will help you schedule diagnostic studies for it. If you don't want to come in, let this be a reminder to perform monthly breast exams and to take a moment, right now, to remind at least one friend to do the same.

As many of you know, our sweet NP Leah that does our telemedicine calls in the afternoons, lives in Guam. I have been in touch with her this morning and the danger to the island from the tsunami has passed but their WiFi is currently out and may take some time to restore. We can still offer some limited telemedicine but I will be handling the calls and the latest we can do is 7pm. I will post once Leah is available to extend the hours. Please join us in saying a prayer of thankfulness that their tiny island was spared and that she and her family are safe. Brandy
