Join Birthmark Doula Collective for “Prepared, Not Panicked: Collaborative Birth Transfers for Families & Providers,” a free webinar bringing together community perspectives and practical guidance for families, midwives, doulas, and hospital professionals. This webinar is Part II of our "Uplifting Community Birth" educational events. Families deserve respectful, coordinated care when a planned home birth requires a transfer to the hospital. Clear communication and collaboration can help families and care teams feel more prepared during an unexpected transition.

In partnership with Community Birth Companion and The Cypher Collective | Black Midwives ✊🏾 , we will explore:

Planned home birth and commonly recognized eligibility considerations.

Clinical and nonclinical reasons that may lead to a transfer.

How communication, collaboration, and misconceptions about home birth can affect transfer experiences.

Ways to support informed decision-making, respectful care, and continuity during a transfer.
