Someone Will Sacrifice

It’s beginning to show some signs of springtime here in our beautiful Arizona desert. I love the flowers as they pop out of nowhere decorating the landscape in a rainbow of colors! What a wonderful time of year as we celebrate spring and the coming Easter/Resurrection season.

As we celebrate Jesus “the prince of peace”, there is fighting, war and anger throughout this world. It can be a little depressing at times as we turn on the news! But there is comfort in Jesus’ words: “My peace I give to you, don’t let your heart be troubled or afraid” John 14:27. If we really look at the wars, fighting and anger, they are all battles each one has within themselves in their own hearts. Truth is, many battle with God in their hearts, as we all have! We all have a need to surrender our hearts to God to end this war!

As with all wars, a price is to be paid, someone will sacrifice for the mistakes of others. Here is the good news: Jesus has done just that for us all! He paid the price for all our mistakes and our sins. He is the only one who can bring peace, peace with God for us and in us! All we have to do is receive it! That is something to celebrate about!

Here at Family First we celebrate this all year long. Thankful to God and to Jesus Christ for saving us from ourselves, bringing us back to Him!

We thank God for sending His Son Jesus for us all, that in this world of unrest, we can have peace!
