✨Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well.
My name is Karla Rosado, and I am the nurse in charge of the intravenous infusion services at Dr. José López Cintrón's office, where he specializes in gynecology and hormone health here in Orange City, Florida.
In my previous video, I mentioned that we would be talking about some of the IV infusion therapies we offer as part of our services. If you haven't seen that video yet, be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram at José López Cintrón MD so you can watch it and stay updated with our latest content.
Today, I'd like to talk specifically about the Myers' Cocktail. And no, no, no—it's not a cocktail you drink! It's a powerful combination of vitamins and minerals delivered intravenously.
This therapy is named after Dr. John Myers, a physician from Baltimore, Maryland, who sought alternative ways to improve his patients' health and well-being through intravenous nutrient therapy.
Although Dr. Myers never published his original formula, Dr. Alan Gaby—a physician, author, and nutrition specialist—continued treating many of Dr. Myers' patients after his retirement. Based on the treatments he observed, Dr. Gaby developed a formulation containing magnesium, B-complex vitamins, vitamin C, and calcium, which is now widely known as the Myers' Cocktail. The therapy continues to bear Dr. Myers' name in recognition of his original concept and pioneering work in intravenous nutrient therapy.
Today, this formulation remains one of the most commonly used IV nutrient infusions in integrative and wellness medicine.
Who may benefit from a Myers' Cocktail infusion?
It is commonly considered for individuals experiencing fatigue, people who suffer from migraines, patients with certain rheumatologic conditions, and those who simply want to support their overall wellness and hydration. However, every patient is different, and an individual evaluation is important to determine whether this therapy is appropriate.
One question we hear often is: What scientific evidence supports vitamin infusions?
The truth is that, for many wellness-related uses, the scientific evidence is still limited and continues to evolve. While some studies have shown potential benefits in specific situations, there is currently no strong evidence supporting routine IV vitamin therapy for everyone or for all health conditions.
That said, we have also seen encouraging feedback from many of our patients, who report feeling better hydrated, more energized, and experiencing an overall improvement in their quality of life after treatment. These are individual experiences, and results can vary from person to person.
If you'd like to find out whether this therapy may be right for you, we'd be happy to answer your questions and provide a personalized evaluation.
We look forward to seeing you at Dr. José López Cintrón's office, located at:
