Investing in our team means investing in the families we serve.

At PJW Speech and Language Therapy, we believe that strong clinicians don’t just happen—they’re supported, developed, and continuously growing. That’s why we created our Professional Sponsorship Program.

From AAC to FEES competency, early intervention to advanced certifications, we’re committed to giving our clinicians the tools and opportunities to deepen their expertise and elevate their care.

Because continuing education shouldn’t feel like a burden—it should feel like support.
Because career growth should be intentional—not left to chance.

If you’re a clinician who is passionate about making an impact and ready to grow in your specialty, we would love to connect!

Join a team that truly invests in you.

Our third annual Christmas dinner 🎄✨

Celebrating another year of new growth, new challenges, and an incredible team of talented clinicians 🙌🏻

PJW didn’t just grow during work hours. It grew in late nights, early mornings, long conversations, and a lot of patience and support. The work we do is rewarding yes, but also emotionally demanding. It takes a lot of heart and of course, love for our community.

I’m deeply grateful for this team, who continue to support our families with professionalism and care. As we come together to support each other during this Christmas season, I remember that we’ve grown and shifted, taken on new challenges and new families. None of this would have been possible without the people in this room and those on our team who couldn’t join us this evening.

Earlier this month, Kim and I met so many wonderful providers and families at the Deaf (+) Awareness Day event held at the Anaheim Centric Public Library. It was such a honor talking to families and RCOC coordinators about speech therapy, including the use of AAC and how we provide individualized care for the Deaf(+) Plus Community.

Thank you so much for this opportunity 💙

It’s a difference, not a disorder

We still hear myths about speaking multiple languages to a child. We still get asked if speaking in a language other than English might result in a language delay.

Some families have told me that they’ve been encouraged to speak in only English to their child by OTHER SLPS because it will “confuse” them if they use two languages to communicate to their child. This left the parent feeling discouraged, upset and frustrated, and I understand why.

•it’s absolutely a MYTH that bilingualism will hinder speech development
•using two (or even three and four) languages will actually HELP the child with language development
•Language is tied to identity, culture, and community. It is not just communication.

I see many Korean speaking families, and one of the best parts of the work I do is sharing with them the benefits of bilingualism. In many cases (not all), it is a language difference, NOT a disorder.

One of the things I love about our work is the opportunity to collaborate as a team. When PJW Speech and Language Therapy, Inc was established, I wanted to create a space where we can have:

• teamwork
• opportunities to grow
• support
• self care

We are a group of bilingual clinicians who provide in home speech and language therapy for our early intervention population. As home based speech and language therapists, we believe in the importance of supporting children in their natural environment.

I am so proud of our team, and thankful we got together to celebrate the holidays with an amazing dinner at . I am looking forward to more get togethers in 2024.

I am not a one woman show.

The past five months have been a whirlwind of active marketing, wins, a bit of discomfort, and lots and lots of growing pains. One thing I can say for certain is I did not make it this far on my own. Granted there’s more to be done, but I am so proud of us for where we are now.

With a growing team and abundance mindset, I am so excited for the future.

Thank you for featuring us in your publication! It was such a joy to interview with you and share what we provide for our community 🫶🏻
