The gears have shifted… but the wheels keep moving.
When I started this little wellness-retreat labor of love on the internet a year and a half ago, I didn’t have much of a plan. Just a passion for health, a desire to share what I was learning, and a genuine hope of connecting with people through this platform and my coaching work with
Behind the scenes, though, I was trying to figure out what my next career move should actually be. Was it becoming a full-time health coach? Returning to corporate life? Continuing to freelance full-time? Whatever it was, I knew it needed to be sustainable for our family, flexible, and something that could grow and evolve alongside my now almost 3rd grader.
The path has had plenty of bumps, twists, and turns. In fact, hiring a coach of my own led me to some important discoveries about myself. One of the biggest? My calling isn’t to be a content creator (not a huge shocker haha), especially in a world already overflowing with health and wellness information.
What I’ve realized is that my superpower is connection.
I’m a relationship builder, a connector, and an advocate. I love shining a light on people navigating journeys similar to my own—working, pivoting, reinventing themselves, and refusing to settle for careers or industries that don’t align with who they are.
And right now, that journey has led me to expand my freelance client portfolio and become part of the team at .magazine.
A place dedicated to shining a light on modern motherhood and creating connection through shared experiences. Because the reality is that postpartum, perimenopause, homework, class chats, sports practices, zoom calls, and career ambitions don’t exist separately. They all coexist in one beautifully messy, glorious ecosystem.
So while the focus may have shifted, the mission hasn’t.
It’s still about connection. It’s still about community. It’s still about helping women feel seen in the season they’re in and inspired for where they’re headed next.
Here’s to evolving, embracing the pivots, and trusting that sometimes the most meaningful paths are the ones you stumble upon.
