🕺Elvis was in the building!

In honor of our fun Elvis Week, we had a fabulous Elvis Party! Everyone danced and sang along to all of their favorite songs from the King of Rock & Roll himself! 🎸One lucky lady even received a one of his scarves! 😉

Our activities team cooked Fools Gold Loaves for everyone to try. The Fool's Gold Loaf was a favorite of Elvis. He was known to grab a few friends and fly his private jet to another state just to get one. The whole loaf was filled with peanut butter, bananas, and bacon 🥜🍌🥓. Then it was grilled like a giant grilled cheese. The staff and residents were so surprised at how much they enjoyed this crazy sandwich!

Thank you to Mr. Edwin Sipin for his wonderful Elvis Tribute! It was such an amazing event and our residents were in awe of your talent. 👏🎤 You brought back so many memories for them.

One of our sweet ladies said during the show, "I knew Elvis personally." Wow! The stories our folks have to tell. What a wonderful week of fun we had!

🕺 In theme with our fun Elvis Week, we had a fantastic Viva Las Vegas Fun Day! 🎰

Everyone dressed up, and looked great! ✨ There was blackjack, roulette, craps, seven card draw, pokeno tables and plenty of refreshments! Our residents and staff had a great time. 🎴

In the end, residents were able to cash their chips in for auction bucks. 💸 Now, they are all looking forward to bidding and winning fun prizes at our upcoming auction. 😁

🕺 What a fantastic time we had celebrating Elvis Week! To kickstart the fun, we had our good friend Carlos from ArchWell Health come and do some Oldies Music Bingo. 😄 Once again, he knocked it out of the park! Thanks, Carlos!

Oh, what fun we had at our Bulldogs Tailgate party! ❤️🖤

🏈 We enjoyed fantastic cheerleading, band drums, and music by Cheryl Choate Bowen! There were all kinds of appetizers and chips and dip! Had to watch that punch, though, it's known as Gator Hater punch! 😂

🏟️ There was plenty of rivalry going on, but that of course fueled the fun fire! We are so grateful for our great friend Mr. Jim Short and The Georgia Bulldog Club of Jacksonville. They supplied so much of the fun vintage decorations as well as wonderful vintage T-shirts, and lots of raffle prizes! It was so exciting! Our residents really had a great time. If all of that weren't enough, everyone also got their picture professionally taken with the old mascot Harry Dawg! 📷 It was such a fantastic afternoon!

Our residents and associates had a fantastic time for our Michael Jackson Day! 🕴️

We all dressed up and did our best moon walks. 😂 We watched the new "Michael movie" and had 3 of his favorite foods: popcorn, banana cream pie, and carrot cake! 🥕 Yum!

Also, we want to thank Tracy from Concierge Care. She is always willing to have fun with us! Thanks for the pies! 🥧The movie was great, and everyone had so much fun.

Come support our Spaghetti Fundraiser this Friday, July 17, from 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. 🍝 For just $12, you'll get spaghetti, salad, bread, a drink, and dessert. Proceeds will benefit a local organization that works hard each year to provide Christmas presents for nursing home residents in Clay and Duval Counties. 🎁
