Seeking adults of all ages and children aged 4-17, of any race/ethnicity, to participate in this research study! People who lived in Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, or Yorba Linda, CA during any part of 2000 to 2019 may be eligible. Adults will receive up to $50 and children will receive up to $75 for participating in the study with a parent. Participants will be asked questions about their work an
d home, the water they drink, and their health. Participants do not have to consume tap water to be eligible. Participants will also give a blood and urine sample, and have body measurements (e.g., height, weight, waist and hip size, and blood pressure) made by health workers at UCI. For child participants, we will also ask about social behaviors, emotions, memory, and learning. Participants will find out what their PFAS blood levels are, and how they compare to others in the U.S. This study will contribute to everyone’s understanding of nationwide exposures to PFAS and their potential effects on health.
