Our mission is to provide quality, research-based ABA interventions to our clients and their families. We do this by providing individualized programs for each child, informational and hands on caregiver training, and a variety of resources for the families we serve.

Communication skills can be encouraged throughout everyday routines—no special materials required!💚

Try these 3 simple strategies at home:

✨ Follow your child’s lead
✨ Give them time to respond
✨ Model and expand language

Remember, communication looks different for every child, and every interaction is an opportunity to connect and learn.

Libraries can be such an amazing resource for children and families 💚📚

Many local libraries offer free activities like:
✨ Sensory play
✨ Reading programs
✨ Board games
✨ Crafts & STEAM labs
✨ Social events and clubs

These community spaces can be wonderful opportunities for practicing social skills, communication, flexibility, independence, and other goals being worked on in ABA 🌱

One helpful strategy before attending new events is “priming” — preparing children ahead of time by explaining what to expect, reviewing rules, or using visuals/social stories to help them feel more comfortable and successful ✨

Sometimes the best learning opportunities happen outside of therapy sessions—in real-life community experiences 💚

When a child struggles with change, it’s easy to label them as “stubborn.”

But in ABA, we look deeper. đź’š

Transitions, unexpected changes, and new routines can feel overwhelming for some children. Instead of assuming defiance, we focus on understanding what they’re experiencing and teaching the skills they need to adapt.

Flexibility isn’t something children automatically know how to do—it’s a skill that develops with patience, support, and practice.

Small steps today can lead to big growth tomorrow.

đź‘€One of the most common questions we hear is:

“Will my insurance cover ABA therapy?”
The answer often depends on:
✔️ The individual insurance plan 📑
✔️ The child’s diagnosis✅
✔️ A doctor’s recommendation showing medical need🩺

Some insurance plans may cover ABA therapy for a wider range of diagnoses, while others specifically require an autism diagnosis for services to be approved.

We also often help families understand updated diagnostic terminology. For example, older diagnoses may sometimes need to be updated to current Autism Spectrum Disorder classifications in order to meet insurance requirements.

Every situation is unique, and navigating insurance can be confusing — but families do not have to figure it out alone 💚

Not every social skill goal needs to involve eye contact đź’š

Many autistic and neurodivergent individuals can listen, learn, communicate, and connect without making direct eye contact.

Instead of focusing on “look at me,” we can work on skills like:
✨ Active listening
✨ Responding appropriately
✨ Showing engagement in ways that feel comfortable
✨ Communication and connection

The goal should never be forcing children to mask who they are — it should be helping them build meaningful, functional skills that support them in everyday life 🌱
There are many ways to show someone you’re listening, and eye contact is only one of them.

Not every moment needs correction đź’š

Sometimes children aren’t being “difficult” — they may be overwhelmed, tired, overstimulated, or simply need a moment to recharge 🌱

A break can be regulation.
A pause can be support.
And understanding often comes before teaching ✨

Sometimes, children need breaks before they need correction đź’š

Special interests can be an amazing tool for connection and learning đź’š

If a child loves something like Pokémon, trains, dinosaurs, or superheroes—we can use those interests to teach communication, social skills, and engagement in ways that feel meaningful and motivating ✨
Sometimes, the goal isn’t to stop the interest.

It’s to help expand flexibility and build opportunities for connection with others over time.
In ABA, we always ask:

đź’ Is this behavior harming the child or getting in the way of their own goals?
If not, special interests can absolutely be celebrated and incorporated into learning 🌱

Independence is something children build little by little đź’š
From learning simple routines to completing tasks with more confidence, every stage of development brings new opportunities to grow 🌱

These milestones are not strict rules or deadlines—they’re simply general examples of how independence skills may develop over time.

Every child’s journey looks different, and progress can happen at many different paces ✨

One question ABA providers hear all the time is:
“Why are ABA reports so long?” 💭
The answer is simple: there’s a lot happening behind every session.
Even when therapy looks like play, children are learning communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills every step of the way đź’š
These reports help document:
✨ The progress being made
✨ The goals still being worked on
✨ Why ABA continues to be the appropriate support
✨ How care is coordinated with other professionals
Most importantly, they help show the incredible growth children make over time.
Those graphs, data points, and updates represent real progress, meaningful skills, and so many small wins adding up ✨
