Free CME! Two goals in treatment of neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) compete. Resolution of macular fluid competes with reducing treatment burden. More anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) injections lead to better outcomes. More anti-VEGF injections also lead to greater treatment burden. With the chronic nature of nAMD, many patients are not able to sustain the treatment burden and reduce clinic visits, resulting in suboptimal outcomes. Join retina experts as they discuss how they balance these competing patient needs. Treatment options for nAMD continue to increase. Can these new options bring balance to the competing treatment goals?
