Fireworks are a big part of 4th of July fun—but they can also be risky for little hands 🎆

Sparklers can get hotter than a blowtorch, and even small fireworks can cause burns or eye injuries.

To keep the holiday safe and exciting:

🌟Watch fireworks at a public show if you can
🌟Don’t let young kids play with fireworks or sparklers
🌟Always have an adult close by
🌟Keep fireworks away from faces, hair, and clothes

We want everyone to enjoy the celebration safely!

If you have questions, we are here to help🤍

With temperatures hitting dangerous highs this week, we want to make sure your little ones are staying hydrated and safe🌞 A few things every parent should know this summer:

Babies under 6 months? Breast milk or formula is ALL they need. No water necessary, even in the heat. For older kids, the goal is consistent fluids throughout the day, not just when they say they're thirsty.

By the time kids ask for water, they're already behind.

Watch for these signs of dehydration in your child:
Dry lips or mouth
Dark yellow urine or fewer wet diapers
Unusual fussiness or low energy
In severe cases, a sunken soft spot in infants

If you're worried about your child's hydration or they're showing any of these signs and not improving, don't wait.
Give us a call.

Finding the right caregiver is about more than convenience: it’s about trust, communication, and how your child is treated day to day. Even small changes in behavior, routine, or your child’s comfort level can be worth paying attention to.

If something feels off, it’s okay to pause, observe, and ask questions. Don’t ignore your instincts when it comes to your child’s well-being!

Mealtime challenges are something many families go through, and small shifts in approach can make a big difference over time. Patience and consistency often go further than pressure or power struggles.

If concerns about nutrition or growth come up, your child’s pediatrician can help assess what’s normal and what may need extra support.

Pets can be much more than companions; they can play an important role in a child's emotional well-being. 🐾

Research suggests that spending time with pets may help children's mental health. Whether it's walking the dog, feeding a cat, or simply cuddling with a beloved pet, these everyday interactions can provide comfort, confidence, and valuable life lessons for children.

As temperatures rise, children can become dehydrated and develop heat-related illnesses more quickly than adults. That's why it's important to take extra precautions during hot summer days.

Watch for signs of heat illness, including unusual tiredness, dizziness, headache, nausea, intense thirst, or confusion. If symptoms don't improve after cooling down, contact your pediatrician.

A little preparation can help your family enjoy a safe and healthy summer!

Summer is a great time for rest and fun—but without a little structure, kids can lose some of the skills they worked hard on during the school year 📚

Simple routines like regular reading, healthy eating habits, and staying active as a family can make a big difference in keeping kids engaged and ready for the next school year.

What’s one summer habit you try to stick to each year?

Before the school year ends, take a few minutes to reflect on your child’s progress 📈

Thinking about what went well, what was challenging, and what you want to see next year can give you valuable insight into your child’s learning needs. It’s also a great time to check in with your child’s teacher for additional feedback while everything is still fresh.
