Serenity gets creative!
Our next fundraiser is for United Way of Lee County, Dixon, IL, and United Way of Ogle County, IL, and features artwork of our kids and grandkids of the Serenity staff.

The voting has just started for staff and visitors in the Serenity Home. Everyone wins in this contest. Thank you to the United Way for their commitment to our local communities.

After a loss, the kitchen can feel like one of the hardest places to be, filled with memories, empty chairs, and routines that no longer feel the same. Join us for a hands-on grief support workshop where we'll prepare a meal together, then gather to enjoy it in a welcoming and supportive environment, in partnership with Lynnies Kitchen. This workshop will have a minimal fee of $10 to cover supply costs.

This distinction is especially meaningful because it is based on the experiences and feedback of the families we have had the privilege to serve through the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey. Their voices tell the story of compassionate care, dignity, and support during life's most difficult moments.

In 2026, only 10 hospice organizations in Illinois earned either the Hospice Honors or Hospice Honors Elite designation. Of those, only two achieved the prestigious Honors Elite status—and Serenity Hospice and Home is the only hospice in Northwest Illinois to receive this distinction.

This recognition belongs to every member of our extraordinary team—our nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, bereavement professionals, nurse practitioners, volunteers, physicians, therapists, office staff, and everyone who works behind the scenes. Their compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment make a lasting difference in the lives of our patients and their loved ones every single day.

To the families who entrusted us with your care and took the time to share your experiences, thank you. Your feedback inspires us to continue providing the exceptional, compassionate care our community deserves.
