Feeling overwhelmed? Many women struggle to delegate or say 'no' for fear of being seen as difficult. It's time to give yourself permission to prioritize your well-being. Explicitly ask for help, delegate tasks, and embrace imperfection. Your mental health is worth setting boundaries for.

Cutting off family offers temporary relief but robs you of long-term support. Hard conversations are natural to fear, but specific, impact-focused approaches can lead to repair and adjustment. Address behavior, not labels, to foster connection.

Think stable relationships just run themselves? Think again. Like a bike tire, they need constant air. Scheduling date nights, fun activities, and weekly check-ins about feelings and logistics isn't optional. Avoiding tough talks erodes connection over time. Nurture your relationship proactively to keep it strong.

Loved getting to talk with NBC 5 Dallas about doing a “digital detox” and why this matters more than ever. The average person checks their phone 250 times a day and spends four to five hours a day on their phone (yikes!)

It’s not our fault; these phones generate tiny powerful hits of dopamine that get us hooked and keep us constantly craving more. As a result we’re more distracted, overstimulated, and disconnected than ever. And since phones aren’t going away we’ve got to find ways, like a digital detox, to create balance.

This segment walks you through how to do a digital detox in a way that’s realistic, not giving up your phone altogether, but stepping back in ways that reduce dependence and make room for habits that deliver “slow dopamine.”

Because when we’re less glued to our screens, we’re more present with the people we love, more available for real connection, and more likely to feel grounded and centered in ourselves.

In the article, I emphasize the importance of self-awareness, communication, and embracing new experiences when seeking a romantic partner. We can all learn valuable lessons from “The Golden Bachelorette” (which is totally my guilty pleasure), and have lots of fun watching too! 😄

Dating can be difficult at any age but getting back into the game after decades of being off the market can be even tougher.
