People think estheticians have perfect skin. Spoiler alert… we don’t. 😅
At 45, with mature skin and rosacea, I’ve learned that healthy skin isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about understanding your skin and treating it with a little grace.
After 25 years in the beauty industry, my approach is surprisingly simple:
✨ Gentle products
✨ Hydration
✨ Daily SPF
✨ Treatments that support my skin’s needs
✨ Giving up the idea of “perfect”
Do I still get flare-ups? Absolutely.
Do I have days when my skin looks tired, irritated, or just plain moody? Yep.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that skincare isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about caring for yourself.
And if I’m being completely honest, some nights I’m just proud I remembered to wash my face before bed. 😆
Tell me I’m not alone 🫣 what’s one skincare step you’ll never skip? 👇🏼
