Serapis-Zeus-Jupiter & Jupiter in Aries : The Emperor in my AusetGypsy Tarot Major Arcana is inspired by Jupiter Ammon, an ancient Egyptian / Greco/ Roman God later in the Egypts historic timeline. A statue of this Gods bust has been on display at The Met in NYC for decades and since I was a kid I was drawn to him. The flowing hair and beard, the thick rams horns adorning the sides of his head, wise and kind face. It was somehow familiar and known to me. Serapis is a syncretistic creation of Osiris and Zeus, Hades and Ammon. Powerful beloved Gods, this combination gave birth to our modern day idea of a monotheistic God, though it’s a very debatable subject and although henotheistic is a better choice to describe Him. His story is worth the effort. So much so that He is The Emperor in my tarot deck!
Astrologically speaking Jupiter in Aries is the astrological association The Bold and fearless leader. The protective and loving father. The Masculine divine in full force. Powerful energies that drive competition and thrive to be a personal best. Wise and experienced. Lucky and beloved. Joyful personality and expansive.

Tarot Spreads are as diverse as the numerous readers who throw cards down for people. Theres popular choices but not any absolute. Tarot spreads range from folk tradition, occult society lay outs, Neo-Pagan & Wiccan co tribulations, Gypsy style, even psychiatrists create their own use too! Tarot teaches us that there are multiple ways of reaching a conclusion or destination, so too that way of thinking is found in its spreads.
THE only spread I’ve never practiced is the Celtic cross. The typical one found in instructional booklets since the 1970’s. This was added as a link of tarot being some medieval Celtic connection however that’s fantasy and was never true. Just something g to sell to Long Arthur enthusiasts of that time. Tarot origins begin in Italy not the British isles. Not to say it don’t gain popularity eventually there but it wasn’t invented there. Which spread do you perform ?
