Juliette Nurse Doula

Juliette Nurse Doula Nurse-Doula serving mamas of Orlando & Nationwide for informed & empowered pregnancy, birth & beyond!

I'm a MilSpouse, mother of two, Registered Nurse, Educator, and Birth Doula--and honestly, so much more!

My journey into the birth work started shortly after a traumatic birth with my first baby. I spent a lot of time reflecting on my experience, searching for answers. I had longed to become a birth doula to further serve and support women, empowering them through their health. The birth of my

first baby propelled me to get the doula training I had been putting off for years! And I am SO glad it did...it has changed the way I see a lot of things in the world and even helped with finding answers and healing from my own birth.

Being a birth worker is so much more to me than the emotional and physical support during labor--it's empowering women to take charge of their reproductive health, helping them harness their mother intuition, encouraging trust in their bodies and babies, guiding women to find their voice in a birth world that isn't so mom-centered, and gearing families up in preparation during pregnancy for labor, birth, and beyond. I support families desiring home birth, hospital birth, vaginal birth, planned C-section, and VBAC. As a VBAC mom myself, I have a special place in my heart for support and empowering VBACS. Each woman and family have their own individual needs, so I tailor my services to meet you where you are and where you want to go!

I can't wait to connect with you and see how I can best support you to harness the birth you longingly desire. Contact me for a free virtual consultation!

Anyone else feel silly—years later—having bought the “latest” baby gadget and not invest that money in the support you needed after you had your baby, ie a birth doula, postpartum doula, flying family out to support you, family sessions to ease the transition, a trusted babysitter for your older kiddos so you and your husband can be together in the chaos of raising a family?

If your considered a gift for someone expecting, think of “something” that truly cannot have a value—your time, your encouragement, your silence & holding space for the family, your warm healthy meals, your loving embrace, and even hiring someone to do those things when you’re not able to 🥰

Seeing some progress is hopeful. Mamas are incredibly strong and fostering their intuition and strength is what providers need to be doing all along— not robbing mothers of their power.

Make breastfeeding as comfortable as possible:

Sit (or lie) comfortably with pillows to support your back. Bring baby to your breast once you are situated and well supported. A footstool to slightly raise your knees will prevent back strain.

If you’d like, you can use pillows or folded blankets under the baby to keep them at a good level during the feeding. As baby gets older, you probably won’t need the pillows anymore.

Use positions that allow you relax your shoulders and arms through the whole feeding! The better you feel, the better it will go.

💕BE SAFE FLORIDA! 💕 Lots of parallels with Hurricane preparation and labor & birth preparation. There is thankfully time we have to prepare our minds, our bodies, our affairs, our families. Don’t take advantage of this precious inbetween… seek the opportunity to connect, repair, prepare.I want to help you prepare for your storm— your time of transcendence, transformation to mother, parent, guider. To an other worldly experience that is often indescribable in words—but a feeling that women remember for the rest of their life, like it was yesterday. A lasting impression of giving life, of great effort, of great pleasure and surrender. Do you want this to be you? Dm me or email me at [email protected] or go to my website in the bio! I want to guide you to meet your pregnancy, labor, birth, breastfeeding and postpartum goals. You got this!! 💕Juliette

Let’s talk about this sudden wave of birth workers posting about the “the US has seen a significant rise in the rate of planned home births, with a 60 % increase from 2016 to 2023, reaching a total of 46,918” statement included in a journal article in the Journal for Perinatal Medicine… have you read the whole article?

Y’all realize this article is designed to help medical professionals “nudge” maternity patients to choose a hospital birth?
