Established by the HCA Healthcare Foundation, the Patricia Frist Memorial Scholarship supports eligible dependents of full-time and part-time HCA Healthcare colleagues as they pursue undergraduate education. The scholarship reflects our organization's commitment to investing in our colleagues and their families while helping students learn, grow and work toward their goals.

This year's Patricia Frist Memorial scholars include Maggie Lamb, daughter of Amy Lamb, RN, UCF Lake Nona Hospital Women’s Services. Maggie is studying Health Sciences at University of Central Florida and hopes to become a dentist, providing care to underserved communities. She is also a past recipient of the Patricia Frist Memorial Scholarship.

UCF Lake Nona Hospital wrapped up our Back to School Supply Drive yesterday.

Our colleagues showed up throughout the month of July with school supplies – 1,289 of them, to be exact - for A Gift For Teaching in Orange County. The free store for teachers allows them to provide necessary items for students in need, empowering them to create a positive learning environment.

Our top three departments collecting the most donations received some yummy rewards: First place - Facilities Management collected 304 supplies, second place - Radiation Oncology collected 223 supplies and third place - Support Services collected 144 supplies. But the REAL winners are Orange County students who are better prepared for a great school year, thanks to everyone who donated.
