Ava’s dad is now at the hospital with her and I am CHOPPED LIVER 🙄😭😭😭 she’s not stunting me AT ALL. 😒

And these two? Pretty sure they have done NOTHING but play video games since he got here. 😂😂🎮 Like seriously… nothing. 😂

After everything Ava has been through, seeing her sitting there laughing and playing games with her daddy just hits different. 🥹 She deserves these little normal moments so damn much.

She’s about to go through another really hard round, and having her dad here with her means more than I can describe 🥹🙏

It’s pediatric cancer awareness month AND Ava’s birthday (as well as my sons birthday)🎉 SO it’s a BIG MONTH!!!

This round of chemo is expected to be intense as her Cytarabine dose will be upped from 100mg per dose to 1000mg per dose. Please pray for my girl 🥹❤️🎗️

Ava’s birthday is coming up (9/28) and so is her little brother (9/25) ! I’m trying my best to make sure these babies still get to have some normal, happy moments in the middle of everything especially since we will be celebrating in the hospital this year 🥹😭

So Ava’s father was incarcerated before the time Ava was diagnosed until today. She is a HUGE daddy’s girl ! And this is her first time seeing him since February 🥰🥰😭😭😭

Praise God! Ava needs the strength from BOTH PARENTS! 🎗️❤️

Anddddd we’re back for her bone marrow biopsy and chemotherapy to the spine (Lumbar Puncture) 🎗️🎗️

Once she wakes up from sedation we will get to go home until Tuesday and then we start round 3 of chemo!!

🏠 WE’RE GOING HOME!! 🥹💗

Ava’s cell count is finally starting to recover after being wiped out from chemo, so we get to go home for a few days! 🎉 Her counts aren’t high enough for her bone marrow biopsy just yet, so we’ll be back once they’re ready.

Then comes the big one… Round 3 of chemo, which we’ve been told is going to be intense. 😬

Before we leave, Ava had to get one very important picture… SHE MET SCOOBY DOO!! 🐶😂💗

We’re praying hard that her biopsy shows she is still in remission and that she keeps fighting just like she has been.

For now… HOME SWEET HOME. 🏠❤️

I encourage you to share this, 1% of all cancer is pediatric cancer and only 4% of all cancer research goes to children..

🎗️ Ava’s Fight Update 🎗️💗

We are officially in the count-bottoming-out phase of this round of chemo. Her numbers are very low right now, but this is the part of treatment we’ve been expecting — and now we’re praying for the next step: recovery. 🙏🏼

Her latest labs:

🩸 WBC: 1.6
🩸 Hemoglobin: 9.6
🩸 Platelets: 29
🩸 ANC: 0.02

Her ANC of 0.02 means she has essentially no circulating neutrophils right now (no immune system), so she is extremely vulnerable to infection. This is why these days are such a critical part of each chemo cycle and why she is being watched so closely.

BUTTT!!! Her doctors expect her counts to start recovering sometime next week. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

So right now, we’re waiting for that first little rise. That first sign that Ava’s bone marrow is waking back up and making the cells she needs again.

The numbers may look scary, but this is part of the process we’ve been preparing for. Her body has been through another incredibly intense round of chemo, and now we’re waiting for her to rebuild.

Please keep our girl in your prayers as we get through these next few days. 🙏🏼🎗️
