The Invisible Side of Neurological Conditions

Someone can talk, walk, and look perfectly healthy, and still be facing challenges you cannot see. đź’™

Neurological conditions can affect much more than physical movement. They may also impact memory, concentration, sleep, mood, communication, energy levels, and everyday life.

Behind a smile, there may be fatigue. Behind a normal conversation, there may be memory difficulties. And behind what looks like a healthy appearance, there may be an invisible struggle.

Let’s look beyond what we can see. A little more awareness, patience, and understanding can make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with neurological conditions.

đź’™ Not every symptom is visible. Every person deserves compassion.

Alzheimer’s Can Happen Earlier Than We Think.

At just 46 years old, Francisco Rios received an Alzheimer’s diagnosis that changed his life. His story is a powerful reminder that Alzheimer’s disease can affect people at a younger age, and that the journey after diagnosis is different for everyone.

In this video, Francisco shares his experience of living with young-onset Alzheimer’s, navigating life after diagnosis, and finding ways to continue embracing meaningful moments with the people and activities he loves.

His story reminds us of the importance of recognizing changes in memory, seeking answers, and building a strong support system for both individuals and their families.

đź’™ A diagnosis changes the journey, but it does not define the whole person.

Watch Francisco’s story and help us raise awareness about young-onset Alzheimer’s.

October is Lewy Body Dementia Awareness Month–an opportunity to learn about a form of dementia that can affect much more than memory.

Lewy body dementia (LBD) can affect thinking, attention, movement, sleep, behavior, and other body functions. Symptoms and the order in which they appear can vary from person to person.

Swipe through our carousel to learn six important facts about LBD, including how it may present, symptoms to watch for, and why accurate diagnosis and individualized care matter.

Early recognition and appropriate care can help manage symptoms and support quality of life.

If you or someone you love is experiencing changes in thinking, attention, movement, sleep, or behavior, discuss those concerns with a healthcare professional.

Big news in Parkinson’s disease care!

The FDA just approved JUVMO™, a new once-daily pill designed to help people living with Parkinson’s manage movement symptoms—like stiffness, tremors, and slow movements—in a whole new way.

Key takeaways from the study:
- Could work at early OR later stages.
- May help lower the need for higher levodopa doses.
- Might add more "good movement hours" to the day.

Migraine is more than “just a headache.”

During Migraine Awareness Week, we’re shining a light on a neurological condition that can significantly impact everyday life.

Here are 5 facts everyone should know:

1. Migraine is one of the most common neurological disorders worldwide.
2. It affects women more often than men.
3. A migraine attack can last 4–72 hours.
4. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound.
5. Migraine can be disabling and affect work, family life, and daily activities.

Understanding migraine is an important step toward recognizing symptoms, reducing stigma, and seeking appropriate care.

If migraines are affecting your quality of life, talk to a neurologist about your symptoms and treatment options. đź’™

This Migraine Awareness Week, let’s raise awareness and remind others that migraine is a real neurological condition—and help is available.
