Happy anniversary to us and happy birthday to Dear Skipper

I was saddened to learn of Gunner Sebastian Halmagean's passing in Latvia last week while deployed with the Canadian Armed Forces.

Just a few short months ago, Gunner Halmagean was here in Newfoundland and Labrador helping to battle our unprecedented wildfires.

On behalf of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends and CAF colleagues, and our profound gratitude for his service to this Province in our time of need.
