Challenging the world to stand with us and "Whip" Childhood Cancer!! a 501(c)3 non-profit organization Whipping Childhood Cancer was founded in September 2014.

We are a non-profit Organization recognized as exempt under Section 501(c)(3). Jenny Mena Silviano (founder) and Candice Genua (co-founder) met while their children were battling childhood cancer. They always knew they wanted to do something to advocate and be the voice for their children and all the children battling cancer. The movement and challenge was such a success that the decision was made to continue to bring awareness but more importantly to raise funds for much needed underfunded childhood cancer research. Our Organization is formed by Mothers of children battling some form of childhood cancer, We are ready to "whip childhood cancer out of the globe!"

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. At Whipping Childhood Cancer, today we want to dedicate this story to our beloved Abraham Leonel Maldonado, who went to his eternal home with our God shortly after this final tribute. His family was always there, right by his side, loving him, supporting him, and protecting him every step of the way.

Today we honor his life and remember him with all our love. This was the last of several stories I had the privilege of sharing about our great hero, on the day he graduated from high school.

Su familia siempre estuvo a su lado, amándolo, ayudándolo y protegiendo.
Hoy queremos rendirle tributo, y recordarlo con mucho amor.

Childhood cancer doesn’t only affect the child it impacts the entire family. 💛

For many parents, the fear, anxiety, flashbacks, and constant worry don’t simply disappear when treatment ends. A fever, a bruise, a doctor’s appointment, or even a routine blood test can bring those feelings rushing back.

Cancer changes you as a parent. You learn to live with gratitude and hope, while carrying memories no parent should ever have to carry.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, let’s remember to support not only the children fighting cancer and the survivors, but also the parents and families walking beside them. 🎗️💛

💛🎗️ We are incredibly grateful to Big Nova Foundation for awarding Whipping Childhood Cancer a grant for the second year in a row!

Their generosity and belief in our mission continue to make a meaningful impact on the families we serve. Because of their support, we are able to assist an average of 2–3 families each month through our Travel Grant Program, helping offset the costs of travel, groceries, and transportation while their children receive life-saving cancer treatments.

Every gift card provided represents hope, relief, and a reminder that these families are not walking this journey alone.

Thank you, Big Nova Foundation, for believing in our mission and helping us make a difference one gift card at a time. Together, we are bringing comfort, support, and hope to families battling childhood cancer.

Mira hasta dónde puede llegar el amor… 💛✨
Lo que comenzó como un simple acto de bondad se ha convertido en algo mucho más grande de lo que jamás imaginamos.
A través de KK’s Toy Drive, hemos podido llevar sonrisas no solo aquí en casa, sino hasta Colombia. 🇨🇴
Nuestros juguetes han llegado a niños que luchan contra el cáncer en:
* Hospital de la Misericordia – Sección de Cáncer Pediátrico
* Hospital Cancerológico Infantil
Porque cada niño, sin importar dónde esté, merece un momento de alegría, consuelo y esperanza.
Un agradecimiento muy especial a Nikoll Machuca, sobreviviente de cáncer infantil, quien hizo esto posible y continúa inspirándonos más allá de las fronteras. 💛

At Whipping Childhood Cancer, our Travel Grant Program has always been about easing the burden for families traveling to treatments, appointments, and hospital stays.
Now, we’re taking it a step further.
We’re proud to share that we are now providing Uber gift cards to the families we serve because we know not every journey is made in your own car.
From long hospital days to unexpected appointments, transportation should never be an added stress.

Every mile matters. 💛
We’re so excited to share that we’ve added Uber gift cards to our Travel Grant Program at Whipping Childhood Cancer.
What many don’t see is the constant back-and-forth, hospital visits, treatments, follow-ups, sometimes even out-of-state trips. The driving never really stops… and neither do the expenses.
