Guardian Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Guardian Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, the national-award winning nursing home and Orlando’s first black hospital.

Please stay tuned to the grand opening of our new state of the art replacement facility immediately adjacent to the existing facility. We are so excited to be moving our residents into their beautiful new home by the end of December. The facility has large rooms with private baths, an inviting coffee shop, salon/spa and other awesome amenities. The existing facility was originally built by Florida Hospital in 1958 (62 years ago) on land donated by the late Dr. Phillips and was operated as an acute hospital, until 1964, for the delivery of medical services to the black community. In 1964 the South Atlantic Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists assumed its ownership and operation as a nursing home until 1968. It was at this juncture that Guardian Care, Inc., a 501(c)(3) corporation was formed to continue caring for the community’s long-term nursing needs. From their humble beginnings, today, Guardian Care is a 120 bed skilled nursing home facility located on the corner of John Young Parkway and Church Street. Guardian Care, the recipient of the Bronze and Silver Quality Award, offers skilled rehabilitation services including Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy. The facility proudly boasts a memory care unit that specializes in providing care and services to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other related forms of Dementia.

Guardian Care Celebrates Community at The Hope Church of Orlando’s 43rd Anniversary! 🌟

Guardian Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center was honored to participate in The Hope Church of Orlando’s Community Health & Wellness Fair as part of their 43rd Anniversary celebration.

What a wonderful day of community, connection, health, and fellowship! We were so pleased to see such a great turnout and strong participation from members of the community. Our Guardian Care team enjoyed meeting attendees, sharing information about our services, answering questions, and connecting with individuals and families.

A special thank you to Archbishop Wiggins and the leadership of The Hope Church of Orlando for welcoming Guardian Care and for creating such a meaningful community event. I was especially impressed by how the Archbishop personally engaged with attendees, taking time to connect with members of the community and help create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Events like this remind us that healthcare extends beyond the walls of our facility. Guardian Care is committed to being an active part of the community we serve, building relationships, providing education, and connecting individuals and families with valuable healthcare resources.

Congratulations to The Hope Church of Orlando on 43 years of service, ministry, and community impact!
