🚨 BIG CHANGES for CDL Drivers & Carriers 🚨
The FMCSA has officially rolled out a major update to how DOT medical certifications are reported—and it’s changing the game.
✅ What’s new?
As of June 23, 2025, your DOT physical results are now sent electronically from the medical examiner → FMCSA → your state DMV.
👉 No more bringing in your medical card
👉 No more manual submissions
👉 Faster, more accurate updates to your CDL record
This new system is designed to reduce errors and streamline compliance—but it also means:
⚠️ Your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is now the primary proof of your medical certification
⚠️ Any delays or errors can directly impact your CDL status
While there is currently a temporary waiver allowing paper cards during the transition, the industry is moving fully digital. ()
At Orlando DOT Physical, we stay ahead of these changes so you don’t have to.
