August has always felt more like a fresh start than January.

Maybe it’s because summer is winding down.

Maybe it’s because routines begin to return.

Or maybe it’s because this month reminds us that we don’t have to wait for a new year to make a change.

As I was checking on my little Mexican lime tree this morning, I was reminded that growth doesn’t happen overnight.

It happens through small, consistent actions.

The same is true for our health.

You don’t have to overhaul your entire lifestyle this month.

You don’t need a perfect diet.

You don’t need to exercise seven days a week.

You don’t have to ā€œget back on track.ā€

Instead, ask yourself one simple question:

What’s one thing I can do consistently this month that my future self will thank me for?

Maybe it’s eating more protein.

Maybe it’s taking a walk after dinner.

Maybe it’s strength training twice a week.

Maybe it’s finally making your own health a priority.

Small choices, repeated consistently, often lead to the biggest changes.

I’m looking forward to sharing practical tips all month long to help women age vibrantly, one step at a time.

šŸ’š What’s one healthy habit you’re committing to this August?

One of the biggest myths I hear is:

ā€œFeeling tired is just part of getting older.ā€

I don’t buy it.

Yes, our bodies change as we age. Hormones shift. Muscle mass naturally declines. Recovery takes a little longer.

But constant exhaustion isn’t something we should simply accept.

Sometimes the answer is as simple as improving sleep, eating enough protein, or strength training.

Other times, it’s worth digging deeper. Nutrient deficiencies, blood sugar dysregulation, thyroid health, iron status, inflammation, or hormonal changes can all contribute to fatigue.

Growing older is inevitable. Feeling like you’ve lost yourself doesn’t have to be. šŸ’”

Your body is always giving you information. The goal is to listen before it has to shout.

šŸ’¬ Have you ever discovered there was a real reason behind your fatigue?

The healthiest women I know don’t obsess over being perfect.

They’ve simply become very consistent. šŸ˜‰

They move their bodies, even when they don’t feel like it.

They prioritize protein instead of just eating less.

They spend time outside.

They protect their sleep.

They manage stress before it manages them.

They continue learning. šŸ¤“

And they understand that vibrant aging isn’t something that happens by accident. It’s something you build, one decision at a time.

The women who seem to age ā€œeffortlesslyā€ usually aren’t relying on good genetics alone. They’ve created daily habits that quietly support their health year after year.

You don’t have to change everything this week.

Just choose one habit your future self will thank you for.

šŸ’¬ Which healthy habit has made the biggest difference in your life?

I’ve been silent on social media this week as I’ve been in Ohio taking care of personal business and visiting around my hometown. ā˜ŗļø Heading back to Arizona later today, and Facebook Memories reminded me of this fabulous shot I got during a monsoon at sunset. 🧔 Can’t wait to get home and watch the monsoon sunset skies on the regular. šŸ˜ How’s everyone else this week?

I’m happy to say I passed the Microbiome Clinical Science Certification with Kiran Krishnan!

One of the things I love most about working in functional wellness is that the learning never stops. Science is constantly evolving, and I believe the women I work with deserve recommendations that reflect today’s science—not what we learned years ago. šŸ˜‰

But earning another certification reminded me of something even more important…

One of the best ways we can support healthy aging isn’t just by exercising our bodies—it’s by continuing to challenge our minds.

Learning a new skill.
Reading a book.
Taking a class.
Trying something outside your comfort zone.

Research suggests that lifelong learning helps build cognitive reserve—our brain’s ability to adapt, solve problems, and remain resilient as we age.

For me, aging vibrantly isn’t JUST about nutrition, movement, and hormones.

It’s also about staying curious.

Because I never want to reach a point where I think…

ā€œI already know enough.ā€

Here’s to learning, growing, and embracing new challenges—at every stage of life. 🩵

šŸ’¬ I’d love to hear from you: What’s something new you’ve learned recently, or something you’ve always wanted to learn?

We spend so much time talking about lifespan.

But I think healthspan deserves just as much attention.

Healthspan is the number of years you're able to live independently, stay active, think clearly, travel, play with grandchildren, and enjoy the life you've worked so hard to build.

That's why my focus with clients isn't simply helping them live longer.

It's helping them feel stronger, think clearer, and maintain the freedom to keep doing the things they love.

Because adding years to life is wonderful.

Adding life to those years is even better.

Everyone wants the "secret" to aging well. 🤫

The truth?

It's NEVER one supplement, one diet, or one miracle exercise.

It's the habits you repeat week after week that have the biggest impact.

My top priorities after 50 are:

āœ”ļø Resistance training
āœ”ļø Eating enough protein
āœ”ļø Walking daily
āœ”ļø Supporting hormone health
āœ”ļø Prioritizing quality sleep
āœ”ļø Managing stress
āœ”ļø Maintaining meaningful relationships

These habits support muscle, metabolism, brain health, heart health, independence, and quality of life.

Aging well isn't about perfection...it's about consistency. šŸ˜‰

Which one of these habits are you focusing on right now?
