Fun with herbs from our gardens. We are drying them and then we will make seasonings out of them. We tied them in small bundles. We smelled our herbs and learned the uses for our health and wellbeing. We also pressed flowers from our beautiful flower pots that we grew. Fun activity! And smelled amazing!

Beautiful day at the MN State Fair! Started out amazing with a very nice man buying 6 admission tickets for us to enjoy the state fair! We were in groups of 2. Volunteer also came with. One of our residents had a daughter come with and take her around the Fair. The Community Life's Director's son happened to be at the fair and walked with us for about an hour. We shared cheese curds, ice cream and brought back Sweet Martha Cookies to everyone at Trails of Orono. Of course we had to "taste test". We even got our picture taken with the St. Paul Fire Department and bought their calendar! Fun day!
