The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services has confirmed 12 measles cases in southern Iowa.

Measles is one of the most contagious diseases, which is why prevention and early recognition are so important. An infected person can spread the virus before they know they are sick, and the virus can remain in the air for up to two hours after an infected person leaves an area.

Symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and a rash. If you think you may have measles, contact your healthcare provider before arriving at any medical appointments so appropriate precautions can be taken.

The good news is that the MMR vaccine provides strong protection against measles. If you're unsure whether you or your family members are up to date on vaccinations, now is a great time to check with your healthcare provider.

Starting Monday, Aug. 3, you'll find several of our specialty providers and services in their new home within newly renovated space at the Osage Clinic.

You may recall that Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy have relocated to the Pine Street Pavilion. Following that move, their former space at the Osage Clinic was renovated.

The following providers and services are now located in the renovated clinic space:

• Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) – Dr. Diggelmann
• Orthopedics – Dr. Rattay
• Cardiology – Dr. Darbandi and Dr. Beasley
• Audiology – Hearing Associates

Cardiac Rehab and Pulmonary Rehab continue to be located in the renovated clinic space.

Please note: Patients should continue to check in as usual by the Osage Clinic Welcome Desk for registration before being directed to their appointment location. If you have an appointment and aren't sure where to go, simply ask at the Welcome Desk when you arrive. Our team will be happy to point you in the right direction.

We're proud to continue investing in our facilities to serve our patients and community.
