June is Menโs Mental Health Awareness Month!
It aims to help men break the stigma surrounding emotional struggles, encourage open conversations, and emphasize that seeking help is a sign of strength.
Societal expectations often push men to "tough it out," leading to hidden or suppressed symptoms.
Facts:
-Depression: Over 6 million men in the U.S. experience depression annually.
-Su***de: Men are almost four times more likely to die by su***de than women.
-Signs to look for: While women often display typical sadness, men are more likely to exhibit irritability, anger, reckless behavior, or substance abuse
So they donโt need to man up, men need to be taught to speak up! Ask for help!!
