I remember feeling like every cookie, ice cream treat, or night out would “erase my progress”or make me go backwards in my journey. At the same time in my journey my stomach couldn’t handle anything, I was bloated, inflamed, and confused on how I could ever feel better.
What changed everything for me was finally understanding nutrition and the art of exercising for longevity. Knowing how to pair foods, create balanced plates, and exercise in a way that wasn’t “all in, all the time”.
When you boil it down to what matters most and repeat it in a way you can sustain, everything changes!
Mondays don’t become “day 1”; they actually become an opportunity to simply plan your week and find slots of time to schedule joy, exercise, and cooking.
Sometimes we feel like we need an elaborate meal plan or super sweaty workouts to make progress, when in reality, it’s the whole foods at your local grocery story, put on your plate in correct ratios, that keep the needle moving forward (plus strategic workouts that actually build muscle).
Nothing is better than when my clients tell me things like:
“I had a piece of cake at the party without guilt”
“I don’t even crave the xyz snack anymore”
“I trust myself in social situations”
In this video above, my husband and I were in Florida. I ate sushi and had drinks without batting an eye.
