🐴🌟 Congratulations to Sr. Mary Schneiders! 🌟🐴

We are thrilled to share that on Saturday, June 6th, Sr. Mary was honored with the "Non-Rider Horsemanship of the Year" Award at Endeavor Therapeutic Horsemanship in Mt. Kisco, NY!

Since February, Sr. Mary has faithfully attended the program each week, helping to groom, walk, and care for the horses. It didn’t take long for everyone to notice the special bond that developed between Sr. Mary and a remarkable horse named Pepsi. Their friendship has touched the hearts of staff, visitors, and the many children who spend time at the ranch.

This well-deserved recognition reflects Sr. Mary's kindness, dedication, and the joy she brings wherever she goes. ❤️

Atria on the Hudson is going to have babies! 🐣

We're eggcited to be participating in the "Hatch the Chicken" program, a heartwarming five-week, hands-on experience that allows residents to observe the incredible journey from egg to chick. We welcomed Farmer Anne into our community who brought the fertilized eggs, and then gave us a brief "hens and the roosters" talk.

Now comes the hardest part, being patient while we wait for our chicks to hatch! Stay tuned for updates as we follow this exciting adventure together.

Our residents enjoyed a visit from The Joy Family, whose performers brought music, laughter, movement, and one-on-one engagement throughout our community. Their interactive approach created opportunities for connection, conversation, and plenty of unexpected moments that kept everyone engaged.

A fun afternoon in Life Guidance during Memorial Day weekend!
Residents stayed active and engaged while rotating through all sorts of games including bowling, shuffleboard, darts, and more. It was wonderful seeing everyone cheering each other on, trying new things, and fully enjoying the holiday weekend together.

Today we celebrated Memorial Day with the traditional burgers and hot dogs, followed by a special treat from Chef Chris, a tableside sundae bar enjoyed by all! Several of our veteran residents shared stories about their time in the armed forces, and one resident even brought her husband’s dog tags to share with the group. We then watched the ceremony at Arlington Cemetery, which was very moving.

On this Memorial Day, we are grateful for the sacrifices made by so many in service to our country.
