Our residents went on an amazing walk along the Hudson River and around the edges of the Sing Sing Correctional Facility and took a Tour called "Sink or Sing: A Walking Tour about Crime, Punishment, Labor and the Hudson River Region" which offered insights into the dark history of this place in a stunningly beautiful location. From the Hudson River School of Art and a bustling port community to the walled fortress of a maximum-security prison, there was so much to learn and see. We learned about the building of the 1825 original cell block, the quarrying of Sing Sing marble, the origin of the US penal philosophy and design. The tour ended with a reflective art making project, led by a previously incarcerated person.

What a fun time we had at the Tiki Beach Pier Restaurant in Rye! We had perfect weather, gorgeous views, great food, delicious lobster rolls, refreshing margaritas, and, best of all, wonderful conversation and even better company. Such a fun time making memories together!

What a beautiful surprise! We all enjoyed the incredible talent of opera singer Matthew Murano, who delighted us even more by bringing his mom along to sing with him. Their beautiful duet was truly special and filled the room with joy.

We had so much fun creating these beautiful mandala suncatchers! So much creativity, color, and good energy all around, each one turned out completely unique and stunning. Can’t wait to see them glowing in the sunlight!

Our new Engage Life Program instructor, Lauren, surprised our residents with her beautiful voice during our 30th Anniversary Celebration! What a wonderful surprise and such a special way to add even more joy to our celebration. Thank you, Lauren, for sharing your incredible talent with us!

Our 30th Anniversary Celebration was absolutely fabulous! What a wonderful afternoon filled with music, laughter, memories, and special surprises. We enjoyed Broadway favorites performed by the talented Concord Youth Voices, followed by a special toast celebrating 30 amazing years.

One of the most meaningful parts of our celebration was honoring the pearls of wisdom our residents share with us every day. Through their stories, experiences, laughter, and memories, they enrich our community in so many special ways. Every story shared is a gift, and we are grateful for the wisdom and joy they bring to us each day.

Then came the fun, our oyster shucking station! Everyone discovered a beautiful, one-of-a-kind pearl to take home, a perfect keepsake from a memorable event.

And of course, Larry kept us singing and dancing with all our favorite tunes and requests! We wrapped up the celebration with delicious desserts and lots of reminiscing.

Thank you to everyone who made our 30th Anniversary so special. Here's to 30 wonderful years and many more to come!

Our Life Guidance residents had a wonderful time showing Alois around our beautiful community and showing off some of our incredible amenities! From exploring our spaces to enjoying meaningful moments together, it was a fun opportunity to connect, engage, and spread awareness.

But Alois is more than just a bear! 🧸 He represents connection, awareness, conversation, and the importance of brain health at every age.

Alois is named in honor of Dr. Alois Alzheimer, the physician who first identified the disease that now impacts millions of families around the world.

Through this fun and meaningful project, The Westchester Alzheimer’s Association chapter hopes to spark joy, encourage engagement, and keep important conversations about Alzheimer’s and dementia going. 💜

We loved having Alois visit Atria on the Hudson and can't wait to see his next adventure✨
