Your health NEVER takes a vacation!!!

This is such a busy time of the year that many people COAST when it comes to their health.

Vacations mean long car rides or plane seats that are uncomfortable. Different beds and pillows can also be a problem. Eating differently and eating greater quantities can also help to inflame your body and cause pain. Who exercises on vacation anyway???

Life happens and the key is to get back on track ASAP. The longer you COAST the tougher it is to get back to what you need to be doing every day and feeling your best. 💪

Whether you need a tuneup BEFORE you get away or a complete overhaul when you RETURN, we’re always here to help!

Good health starts in your brain!

Make it a great day!

Dr. Ed

Your brain’s Reticular Activating System (RAS) is a filter that helps determine what gets your attention.

Every second, your brain is bombarded with millions of pieces of information - far more than it could ever consciously process. The RAS acts like a gatekeeper, filtering out what isn’t important so you can focus on what matters most.

If you’re constantly focused on what’s going wrong, your brain becomes better at spotting problems.

If you’re always looking for reasons to be stressed, overwhelmed, or discouraged, your attention naturally gravitates toward evidence that reinforces those patterns.

But the opposite is true, too.

When you intentionally focus on your health, your goals, meaningful relationships, gratitude, and opportunities for growth, your brain begins prioritizing those signals instead.

You start noticing healthier food choices, opportunities to move your body, supportive people, moments of joy, and solutions you may have overlooked before.

Your attention shapes your awareness.

And your awareness influences your choices. Those choices, repeated day after day, become habits. Habits become your biology. And over time, they become your life.

Your brain is always listening to what you repeatedly tell it is important.

Choose that wisely. 🧠❤️

The body is always communicating.

Symptoms rarely appear overnight.

Fatigue, brain fog, disrupted sleep, mood changes, and unexplained weight gain are often subtle signals that something may be out of balance.

The sooner we pay attention to those whispers, the greater the opportunity to address the root cause before they become louder.

Listening to your body isn't overreacting.

It's one of the first steps toward better health.

Nutrition Tuesday

Fuel your body like it's the only one you'll ever own.

Imagine owning a classic car that could never be replaced.

You wouldn't fill it with the cheapest fuel you could find.

You'd protect it.

Maintain it.

Give it exactly what it needs to perform at its best.

Your body deserves the same care.

Jack LaLanne often reminded people that good nutrition isn't about deprivation.

It's about providing your body with the fuel it needs to thrive.

Every bite you take is either helping your body or asking it to work a little harder.

Choose foods that provide energy, not just calories.

Fill your plate with colorful vegetables.

Choose lean sources of protein.

Eat fruits instead of processed sweets when you can.

Drink water throughout the day.

The goal isn't perfection.

The goal is making more good choices than poor ones.

Your body is constantly repairing, rebuilding, and renewing itself.

Give it the nutrients to do that job well.

Jack famously said, **"If man made it, don't eat it."**

While that's a simple guideline, the principle still holds true today.

The closer your food is to its natural state, the better it tends to serve your health.

Remember, your body isn't just carrying you through today.

It's carrying you through your entire life.

Treat it with the respect it deserves.

Because you don't get a replacement.

Fuel your body like it's the only one you'll ever own.

"Exercise is king. Nutrition is queen. Put them together and you've got a kingdom."
– Jack LaLanne

Freedom Through Fitness

Train for freedom. Strong bodies enjoy life longer.

As we celebrate Independence Day weekend, it's a good time to remember that freedom comes in many forms.

There's the freedom our nation celebrates.

And there's the freedom you build through your health.

The freedom to get out of bed without assistance.

The freedom to walk without pain.

The freedom to travel, play with your grandchildren, work in your garden, and enjoy the activities you love.

Those freedoms aren't guaranteed.

They are protected by the choices you make today.

Jack LaLanne believed exercise wasn't about building the perfect body.

It was about building a capable one.

A body that could keep up with life.

A body that remained strong, energetic, and independent for as many years as possible.

Every workout is an investment in that future.

Every healthy meal strengthens your foundation.

Every walk, every lift, every stretch helps preserve the freedom to live life on your own terms.

Don't train simply to add years to your life.

Train to add life to your years.

Because a strong body doesn't just help you live longer.

It helps you live better.

This Independence Day weekend, celebrate freedom by protecting one of your greatest gifts.

Your health.

"The only way you can hurt the body is not to use it."
– Jack LaLanne

If you have been watching the US Soccer Team (especially last night’s win) here’s a little behind the scenes information how these athletes perform at their optimum. 💪

In fact, ALL major league teams and the Olympics have team chiropractors. It’s about PERFORMANCE and ADAPTABILITY and not just back or neck pain.

Here’s the good news - you don’t have to be an elite athlete to benefit from chiropractic care. Your spine and nervous system deserve the best care.

We’re always here to help! Call us to see how you can benefit from chiropractic’s DRUG-FREE approach to health.

Make it a great day!

Dr. Ed

Elite athletes deserve elite care.

Through his work with the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team, Dr. Rion Zimmerman has helped demonstrate the important role chiropractic plays in supporting athletes at the highest level of competition.

Thank you, Dr. Zimmerman, for representing our profession with excellence and helping showcase the impact of chiropractic on one of the world's biggest stages. 🌎⚽️
