I started this business as just me—and somehow, “just me” became an entire team.
There were so many days when I told myself, “What am I doing? I’m a young mom. This is all too much. I need to pull back.”
But that persistent voice inside me kept saying, “Keep going.”
And now, as they say, the toothpaste can’t go back in the tube. Spry is growing. The Mobility Lab is starting. And our vision for helping people age well in our community continues to grow right alongside them.
I often hear older adults say that these don’t feel like their “golden years.” Maybe the golden years are actually the ones I’m living right now—the busy, exhausting, meaningful years when I have the opportunity to build something that can make life better for others.
If our team can help one more person live another year safely and independently in their own home…
If we can help someone avoid a fall, regain their strength, keep doing what they love, or simply feel more confident in their body…
Then every hard day has been worth it..
The compliment I’m most proud to receive now isn’t about what I’ve built—it’s about the incredible TEAM we have built.
I may have started this alone, but Spry and the Mobility Lab are becoming what they are because of the people who now carry this mission with me and push me outside my comfort zone….🤪
