Yesterday I tagged along to volunteer on the school strings field trip and got to watch my dolls perform with the middle school orchestra at the Village of Leawood 🎻✨

Huge success… especially considering they almost never practice at home 😅 (which honestly, I secretly appreciate because life is already busy enough). There were also MANY moments over the years where both girls wanted to quit viola. But I kept telling them: “I don’t raise quitters.” 💛

And yesterday, they proved why perseverance matters. They stuck with it and did wonderfully. I was so proud watching them perform alongside the older students.

A huge thank you to Ms. Copeland for pouring so much time, patience, and heart into teaching so many children. I truly don’t know how she does it. As a small thank you for all her efforts, I’m gifting her a peaceful, relaxing facial 🕊️✨

And on a separate note… motherhood got me emotional yesterday too 🥹
Aurelia brought her own money and insisted on buying me a cookie and ice cream at Chick-fil-A lunch 🍪🍦 “Mom, I’m paying with my own money.”Arya gifted me the sweetest little plant 🪴

I was so touched by both of them. Can we make it Mother’s Month… or honestly Mother’s Year? 💕

Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

This was such an eventful and beautiful Mother’s Day. Aurelia made the most incredible meal — homemade strawberry jam, avocado and eggs on tiny toast, all made with so much love. We made chicken salad with lettuce freshly picked from our garden, the peonies came from my garden, and the cake was one I picked out myself 🍓🌸

Aria was feeling a little under the weather, so I let her sleep in, but we woke her up for photos because these little moments matter.

Motherhood is beautiful, messy, exhausting, and deeply meaningful all at once. Today felt like one of the sweet moments I want to hold onto forever. 🌹

It turns out everything I truly need is right here at home. ✨

Aurelia made the best strawberry jam on earth 🍓✨
Just strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice… and somehow the entire house smelled like heaven. We were literally “drunk” on the aroma and ate until our tummies were way too full 🤭

My little strawberry isn’t so little anymore… but she’s wise beyond her years, and everything she touches turns a little sweeter ❤️

And the best part? She’s already thinking about how to make it even better next time. That’s my girl.
