💉 A recent Executive Order called for changes to the childhood vaccine schedule, such as separating the Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccine and different spacing of vaccines. We want to be clear: vaccines save lives.
💉 Premier Pediatrics practices evidence-based medicine. There is no new research or data to support the changes in this new Executive Order. In addition, no separate Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccines are currently available in the United States.
💉 Our clinic will continue to follow the American Academy of Pediatrics 2026 recommended immunization schedule. The state of Kansas will also continue to follow this schedule.
💉 What does this mean for you and your child? You will not see any changes in our clinic. All previously recommended and required vaccinations will continue and your child will need these to be enrolled in school or daycare in the state of Kansas.
💉 Why don’t we recommend separating vaccinations as the Executive Order suggests? This would leave children vulnerable to diseases for longer. It would also require more visits to clinic- meaning more children will fall behind on immunizations. There is no evidence that routinely separating vaccines is beneficial.
💉 Our clinic will continue to follow scientific research and experts in the field. No changes will be made to our vaccination schedule based on politics.
