Our patient featured here unfortunately had a prior skin cancer on her nose requiring Mohs excision & closure. So we combined a cosmetic/functional with a scar revision to create a more balanced, symmetric aesthetic that breathes. So she’s healing from two things at once but is cruising so far! Thanks to her for letting us share.

Thanks to our patient for letting us share her photos! She just got off her cast and splints and she’s healing beautifully. I find that healthy, athletic patients like her supercharge their recovery by maintaining their active lifestyle and their clean diet during the initial weeks after surgery, minimizes inflammation and stubborn swelling.

A couple of months ago our colleague here underwent a 90min procedure in our clinic to reshape her hooded eyelids.

During a we excise the redundant skin, remove superfluous fat, and raised the tail of the eyebrow. Our patients wait a week before removing the sutures, usually have visible signs for a few weeks and the wounds take a few months before they more fully settle in.

Thanks to her for letting us out her pics!

“How will I look a month after surgery?”

It’s hard to predict! We usually counsel patients that the first week is the toughest, they’ll have something to be self conscious about for 3 weeks, and they likely won’t be happy until 3 months or later for the subtle stuff to improve.

But these are generalities - everyone follows their own path. Our patient featured here came to for her surgery about a month ago and she’s healing beautifully & has the best attitude. But we still see persistent lymph stasis around the eyes & cheeks, and the submental/submandibular region. This is totally normal and she’s following all the rules to expedite its resolution.

But regardless of red light therapy, HBOT, MLD, supplements, peptides, topicals and/or whatever else, the most important thing is TIME. And she’s been super patient going with the flow!

Thanks to our friend & patient for choosing our crew for her here in ! She is very discerning and knows our community well, she’s also one of the nicest people you’ll meet. We’re proud to improve upon an already beautiful canvas! 🎨🖌️

We used minimal access incisions for the brow contouring - minimal “lift” and more “shaping” in order to not raise the hairline, and performed browpexy suturing along with the upper Bleph. For the rhinoplasty we used standard structural reduction techniques with minimal cartilage excision to preserve function. Thanks to her for letting us share!

It’s important to see the early, middle & late stages of and recovery - and this beautiful patient is in the EARLY stages - one week after surgery. But she was gracious enough to let us put her pics out there to teach about the less glamorous part of !🙏🏻🙏🏻

We performed a deep plane lift with fat transfer. All the facial bruising is from the fat transfer, the swelling and discoloration in front of the ears are from the limited delamination of the deep plane lift. She is following all the rules - manual lymphatic drainage with a specialist, supplements, early mobility - & she’s young and healthy to begin with so if anything she’s further along at one week than many patients!

Our usual rule of thumb is 3 weeks before one is passable in public, and 3 months before the patient is mostly happy. Then a full year for the subtle stuff to get better (or get used to).

Thanks again for her for letting us post these early pics!
