From Andover, Kansas, to caring for women right here in Johnson County, Dr. Kohman's journey has come full circle. 💙

She knew she wanted to become a physician when she was just five years old. After earning her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at Kansas State University, she attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where she discovered her passion for OB/GYN.

What drew her to the specialty? The incredible variety—caring for patients through pregnancy, performing gynecologic surgery, and building lifelong relationships with women through every stage of life.

Dr. Kohman then completed her OB/GYN residency at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident during her final year.

We're thrilled to welcome Dr. Kohman to the Women's Health Care Group team and can't wait for our community to get to know her!

We're so excited to officially introduce the newest physician joining the Women's Health Care Group family this August! 💕

When she's not caring for patients, Dr. Kohman loves spending time with her husband, Malik, and their adorable dog, Millie. She also enjoys traveling, getting lost in a great book, and discovering new restaurants around Kansas City (so if you have a favorite local spot, be sure to share it at your appointment!).

Vaginal dryness isn’t something you just have to “live with.”

For many women in perimenopause and menopause, over-the-counter vaginal moisturizers are the first step before prescription treatments.

• Polycarbophil moisturizers (long-lasting hydration)
• Hyaluronic acid gels or suppositories
• Water-based moisturizers
• Silicone-based formulas (condom compatible)
• Coconut or olive oil (not condom compatible)
• Vitamin D & E suppositories

The right moisturizer can improve comfort, intimacy, and everyday quality of life. If symptoms persist, talk with your healthcare provider about additional treatment options.
