All Ways Caring HomeCare - Louisiana hosted a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting on September 3, located at 1800 Ryan Street, Suite 105, Lake Charles, Louisiana.

The event was well attended with multiple members of the Southwest Louisiana Chamber of Commerce, the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance, the Community Provider Association of Louisiana, the Lake Charles Mayor’s office, the Ward 3 Marshal’s office, lobbyists from our Government Relations teams, AWC Senior Leadership, and individuals from the community were all present.

Our new location will now serve approximately 40 patients and provide one-on-one care to support individuals in the Calcasieu Parish and the Lake Charles community. AWC also has offices in Alexandria, Jennings, and Opelousas, covering many regions of Louisiana.

AWC is celebrating Georgia ANCOR DSP of the Year Award Winner Wanda Renee Newkirk again as she received commendations from Georgia Govenor Brian P. Kemp and United States Senator Jon Ossoff, on August 4, at the All Ways Caring Valdosta, GA, branch!

Executive Director IDD Kristal Henley and Regional Director Jason Power, along with branch staff, presented the framed
commendations to Renee and then celebrated further by providing snacks.

We are so proud of Caregiver Princess Miller, out of our Winston Salem, NC, location! They have been nominated for the Home Care Association of America 2026 Caregiver of the Year Award, which recognizes exceptional caregivers across the country who provide outstanding care at home.

Throughout her tenure at AWC, Princess has provided respite services to families, allowing for a break in care with the client’s health and safety being the forefront of everything she does. She approaches every situation with a smile – from teaching clients how to utilize public transit – to teaching them how to perform their daily care tasks. The parents of those in which she serves often praise Princess for her efforts in being able to meet the clients’ needs where they are.

There was a situation with one of her clients where she had to step in to ensure the physical safety of her client by contacting the local police department for assistance. Then, she immediately went into action; she contacted her supervisor and submitted all necessary documentation, facilitating the best course of action to support her client and family. After her normal working hours, Princess even made it a priority to participate in the family meeting to gain better insight into the situation. In doing so, she was able to champion for her client while simultaneously supporting the family moving forward.
