It breaks my heart to hear a new mother, giving her whole self (body & mind) to her newborn could feel like less than enough. Unfortunately, she isn't alone. And living in the age of social media and comparison traps sure doesn't help.

So in case no one has told you today - you are enough.

In fact you're doing a damn good job.

When you are in the trenches with a newborn, and healing postpartum, you are in a totally different world. Your sleep is inconsistent, your hormones are all over the place, and brain fog ("mom brain") keeps our focus on the details of the moment, instead of the big picture.

If you are having a tough time, take a moment to slow down before giving up on your goals.
Instead, 💛pause.
Do something to reset:
💛Ask for help
💛Take a shower
💛Get some rest or
💛Take a walk...
Then circle back and 💛decide whether or not to stay the course, when your mind is clearer.

Postpartum can be a trying time. Sometimes lonely, feeling like day and night blur together. I love coming into homes and helping families move from surviving to thriving, and witnessing the transformation as they grow stronger, more confident, and more connected along the way.

This!! Education is the foundation of all my doula services. In order to make the best choices for your family, you need to know your options and the pros and cons. Then we focus on filling your tool box with skills for the birth experience you want (as well as knowledge to help you pivot as needed).
