Today at Ecumen Brooks we held our annual Summer Carnival with games, guessing jars and special treats. We were blessed to have 11 American Heritage Girls come and run the games for us. They brought so much joy to all our residents and did a wonderful job serving them. After the games, we all enjoyed popcorn, mini donuts, and dirty sodas (A specialty from our amazing Dining Manager Dominique). They could have sprite or orange soda with flavor shots and cream in it. Everyone loved them! It was a huge success, and everyone had a blast celebrating together! Thank you to the American Heritage Girls, our volunteers Deb & Toni, and our amazing staff who all jumped in to help make it a fun afternoon.

Join us as we explore the many transitions life brings—both the challenges and the opportunities for growth. This supportive gathering offers space for grief support, education, and meaningful connection with others who have experienced losses of various kinds, including the death of a loved one, shifts in independence and residence, changes in relationships, and other significant life changes.

Led by Ecumen Hospice staff, our time together provides a compassionate environment to share stories, learn new insights, and walk alongside one another as we navigate grief and discover new beginnings. Gather with residents, families, neighbors, and community members at our outdoor open house as we celebrate 20 years of memories, connections, and care. Enjoy food and refreshments, hear remarks from local dignitaries, reconnect with friends, and stroll down memory lane through photos and stories from the past two decades.

Today at Ecumen Brooks we enjoyed a beautiful 6 person Viola band called the Offbeats. They played a wonderful patriotic program for us. The group are a part of our local symphony orchestra community band. We all tapped our feet and clapped along to the familiar music. It was a special time!
