Giving birth is one of life’s most joyful — and unpredictable — events. Higher ed clinical students have access to Lucina, our "pregnant" simulator mannequin. She helps prepare students for a range of scenarios that can occur during the birthing process.

Lucina, who can give birth in 10 different ways, is just one of many impressive healthcare education resources at HealthForce Kentucky.

We celebrate Neonatal Nurses Week today through Sept. 18. This observance was established in 2000 by the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN.)

Members of the neonatal community use this time to honor nurse colleagues and show pride in being a neonatal nurse.

We celebrate the hard work and dedication of neonatal nurses and APRNs as well as the NANN community and proudly help train these specialists.

One resource we offer is with our tiniest simulation manikin, Baby Paul, a 27-1/2 "weeker."

The contributions of neonatal nurses to the most fragile patients make a difference that lasts a lifetime for neonates and their families.
