This is why treating periodontal disease matters! 🦷

Take a close look at this before + after! Those rough, “wing-like” areas you see along the teeth in the first X-ray are calculus deposits that have built up below the gumline. When left untreated, this buildup can contribute to bleeding gums, bad breath, bone loss, and eventually even tooth loss.

With periodontal treatment, we’re able to remove these deposits below the gumline and give the gums an opportunity to heal, helping protect your teeth, supporting healthier gums, and improving your overall oral health.

The difference in these X-rays is pretty incredible and such a great reminder: healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy smile. 💙
