The maintenance phase: where the long-term benefits of allergy shots continue to develop.

At this stage, you've reached your effective dose, and injections are spaced farther apart, usually every two to four weeks. Lasting three to five years, this phase requires consistency with your maintenance schedule to help your immune system maintain its reduced sensitivity to allergens.

Many people experience fewer allergy symptoms, need less medication and enjoy a better quality of life with continued treatment.

If you're ready to explore long-term allergy relief, call 270-228-2810 today.

Good things take time, especially when it comes to allergy shots.

During the buildup phase of treatment, you'll receive injections with gradually increasing amounts of allergen, typically once or twice a week for about 4-6 months.

This gradual approach helps your immune system adjust safely while reducing the risk of reactions. Each appointment becomes an important step toward helping your immune system become less sensitive to the allergens that trigger your symptoms.

Questions about allergy shots? Our team is here to help guide you through every phase of treatment. Call us at 270-228-2810.

Looking for long-term relief? Allergy shots may be the solution for you.

Allergy shots, also known as immunotherapy, are more than symptom relief. They are a long-term treatment designed to change how your immune system responds to allergens over time.

If seasonal or year-round allergies are interfering with your daily life, our team can help determine whether allergy shots are the right option for you.

Not sure if it was a bee, wasp or hornet? 🐝Knowing the difference matters, especially if you've had an allergic reaction to a sting.

While many stings cause temporary pain and swelling, a true insect venom allergy can lead to a serious, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. Identifying the insect that stung you can help your allergist determine the most appropriate testing and treatment options, including venom immunotherapy when indicated.

If you've experienced hives, trouble breathing, dizziness or swelling away from the sting site after an insect sting, don't ignore it. An evaluation by an allergy specialist can help identify your risk and create a plan to help keep you safe.

If you have questions about insect sting allergies or would like to schedule an appointment, call Deaconess Clinic Allergy Owensboro at 270-228-2810.

This Monday, Max passed his baked dairy challenge! 👏

Passing a food challenge means so much more than a successful test. It means being able to enjoy more foods, having more flexibility when eating out and feeling a little less worry around mealtimes.

We’re so excited to celebrate this milestone with Max and his family and all the new possibilities it brings!

🎉Congratulations again, Max!
