Hello May 💚🌿

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a time to remind ourselves and others that healing, support, and self-care matter. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health.

Take a moment to breathe, check in with yourself, and extend kindness to someone who may need it. You are not alone, and your story matters.

Let’s break the stigma, spread awareness, and encourage open conversations about mental wellness. 💚

Yesterday was a powerful moment of reflection and honor. I had the privilege of attending the MLK Celebration at First Baptist Church in Oxford, NC. Thank you to the scholarship committee for inviting me. It was a blessing to be in the room for such a meaningful gathering. It’s always good to see purpose driven leaders showing up and standing in unity. We're not just remembering the dream we're living it, walking it, and pushing it forward. Let's keep the work going! It's time to SHIFT! 🙌🏾

Law enforcement across the state kicks off their statewide “Holiday Booze It and Lose It” campaign today. The goal is to keep people from driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances. So, from now until January 4, 2026, law enforcement agencies will work together and focus on sobriety, including checkpoints in all 100 counties.
