Strengthening the Foundation of Rural Healthcare đźš‘

Rural healthcare continues to be defined by resilience and dedication—but today’s reality is clear: providers are being asked to do more with less. Workforce shortages, long travel distances, and gaps in housing, transportation, and food access all directly impact patient outcomes.

As rural health policy evolves, the real opportunity isn’t just funding or regulation—it’s infrastructure.

Too often, care teams, Medicaid systems, and community organizations serve the same patients in disconnected systems. That fragmentation leads to missed follow-ups, duplicated efforts, and preventable crises.

The future of rural health depends on better coordination—systems that connect care, confirm outcomes, and reflect what’s actually happening on the ground.

Rural healthcare has always run on ingenuity, resilience, and community trust. What has too often been missing is the infrastructure strong enough to match that and sustain it at scale. That is what makes this moment different.

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. 🧠💜

Observed each June, Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month raises awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia while promoting education, early detection, and support for patients and caregivers.

Did you know?

▪️ More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease.
▪️ Alzheimer’s is the most common cause of dementia, affecting memory, thinking, and behavior.
▪️ Early detection can help individuals and families access treatment options, resources, and support sooner.
▪️ Healthy habits such as regular exercise, quality sleep, social engagement, and managing chronic conditions may help support brain health.

This month, take time to learn the warning signs, support caregivers, and prioritize your brain health. Together, we can raise awareness and support those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

June is National Men’s Health Month, a time to spotlight the importance of prevention, awareness, and taking charge of overall well-being. During Men’s Health Week June 15 through 21, we encourage men to prioritize their health through regular checkups, routine screenings, staying active, managing stress, and having open conversations with their healthcare providers.

Small, consistent steps like scheduling an annual physical, monitoring blood pressure, and paying attention to mental health can lead to healthier, longer lives.
