Pop Pop (Paul Kachele), Mom Mom (Katherine Lamont Kachele) and Aunt Kas. The picture is not dated, but is c. 1945. Kas is approx. 7, Mom Mom 30 and Pop Pop 46.

This was my grandfather's 3rd wife. They had both lost their spouses. She was not my biological grandmother, but she was my Mom Mom. I love and miss her dearly to this day.

Aunt Kas is Mom Mom's daughter from her previous marriage. Kas will be 85 in June.

Our family had/has a lot of steps- and half relatives but we are all family no matter what. I list them in steps and halves so others understand the actual relationship.

The history I've collected is on the free genealogy site FamilySearch.org. This is an absolutely 100% free site. I can't afford the paid sites at this time. It's a great site with lots of info to look at/find.

If you would like to look at my research you just need to create that free account. My FamilySearch ID is LX9N-GW3. You'll be able to add/correct info in the family tree.

My name is Gail Mays Bruner. I've been collecting our family history info for over 20 years.

What I've collected is info. But there are so many stories beyond the facts. I thought this would be a great place to share those stories and memories about our family. Fun, interesting, odd stories and memories. And if you have pictures you're willing to share, that would be wonderful too.

I hope I've piqued your interest and you'll join me in the reminiscing to keep our family stories alive for a long time to come.
