If your horse struggles with jumping or picking up the canter, their quadriceps might be part of the problem.
This stretch targets the quads and supports stifle health — and it’s simple to add to your routine.
Here’s how:
Pick up the hind limb and gently extend the leg behind the horse.
Keep the toe low to the ground — especially important for older horses.
Let them rest into it. Never force it.
Only do this after a ride or hand walk when the muscles are already warm. A few times a week done consistently is where you’ll start to see a real difference.
Save this and add it to your post-ride routine.
