We are so excited to welcome a new Speech-Language Pathologist, Mattea, to our Shelton team! ✨

Mattea received her bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. She also earned master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southern Connecticut State University.

During her graduate clinical experiences, Mattea gained extensive experience working with a diverse caseload through public schools, university clinics, pediatric private practices, and telehealth experiences. She has experience working with children with articulation and phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency disorders, voice disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, feeding disorders, and literacy deficits. Mattea also has had experiences working with children with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, velopharyngeal dysfunction, and gestalt language processing. 😊

Excited to grow as a clinician with More to Say, Mattea is dedicated to providing individualized, holistic, and client-centered therapy that empowers children to communicate during everyday activities. She is passionate about working with infants and toddlers in the birth-to-three population, supporting children with literacy deficits, and providing feeding therapy services.

Mattea values building strong, collaborative relationships with clients and their families. She strives to create interactions that are functional, evidenced-based, and tailored to each child’s strengths and needs!

We are so excited to welcome a new Clinic Support Specialist, Genesis, to our Shelton team!✨

Genesis is currently completing her last semester of undergraduate studies in Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences and Music at Southern Connecticut State University. She aspires to earn her master's degree and begin a career as a speech-language pathologist after graduate school.

Prior to pursuing speech therapy, she studied music therapy and the importance of social-emotional connections in clinical settings. She is excited to bring her welcoming and youthful energy to help every child and family feel encouraged and supported! 😊

We are so excited to welcome a new Speech-Language Pathologist, Brooke, to our Oxford team! ✨

Brooke received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southern Connecticut State University. She has gained clinical experience working in a variety of settings including adult and pediatric outpatient facilities, acute care/inpatient hospital settings, public preschool and elementary schools, university clinics, and telehealth platforms.

She is passionate about working with the pediatric population and has experience supporting children across a wide range of communication and feeding needs. She has worked with children of all ages presenting with articulation and phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, fluency disorders, voice disorders, acquired brain injuries, and feeding difficulties.

Brooke also has experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, developmental delays, and those who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems. In addition, she has worked with individuals with dysphagia and is eager to further expand her experience serving infants and young children with feeding and swallowing disorders.

Dedicated to supporting infants and children of all ages, she takes a client- and family-centered, holistic approach to intervention to tailor therapy to each child’s individual needs. By building strong partnerships with families and collaborating with other professionals, Brooke strives to create engaging, meaningful therapy experiences that support communication growth and the transfer of communication skills across a variety of settings. Her individualized approach empowers children and caregivers to achieve meaningful progress in everyday life 😊
