A Message from Arcadia Pace
On Monday evening, Arcadia Pace experienced a significant storm that brought multiple lightning strikes to our area. One of those lightning strikes impacted our community, resulting in a small fire and causing a sprinkler line to burst in the memory care neighborhood. The fire was quickly contained by our staff and local fire response teams. Although there was minor fire damage, the vast majority of the damage was water-related from the burst sprinkler line.
Most importantly, everyone is safe and accounted for. Our team, alongside local fire and emergency personnel, responded quickly and calmly to ensure the safety of our residents and bring the situation under control.
We understand there were at least three other lightning strikes reported in the immediate area during the storm, some of which may have caused damage equal to or greater than what was experienced at our community. While assessments continue, our focus remains on caring for our residents and restoring normal operations as quickly and safely as possible.
Our assisted living community remains operational, and we are actively making accommodations while restoration and remediation efforts take place. We are working closely with all governing authorities, inspectors, and emergency response partners to reopen our memory care neighborhood as quickly as possible while ensuring the environment meets all safety requirements.
Throughout this process, our priority remains the safety, comfort, and well-being of the people who call Arcadia Pace home.
We are incredibly grateful for the dedication of our staff and the support of our first responders. We are equally thankful for the outpouring of love, concern, and encouragement from our residents' families, friends, and the broader community.
In moments like these, we are reminded that what makes a community strong is people coming together, supporting one another, and moving forward with care and compassion. We are grateful to be surrounded by such a community.
