What really stood out... is this program goes beyond getting young adult men sober — it’s about helping them build a life worth staying sober for.

Helping / supporting / guiding their clients to...

✅ Get back to school to finish what addiction took away.

✅ Find work or career that is worthy of their new recovery.

✅ Discover purpose, passion, and independence in their daily lives.

That’s the real win.

Honestly, wish a program like this existed when I was a young man trying to figure sobriety out in my 20's. Proud of what Alex, Cannon, and Scott are doing in my hometown of San Diego. 🙏

START UP RECOVERY — Sober Mentor Monday is on a roll...

Last night we had the privilege of hosting Luke Cuccia, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Eagle Creek Recovery Ranch in Idaho.

Luke brought the room to life with a powerful pitch on his experience, strength, and hope and path as an entrepreneur—showing what’s possible when one shifts their addiction to passion. Building a well respected program for men in the same framework that got him sober!!!

Luke’s deep understanding of the Big Book and the Steps resonated with everyone in the room, and an incredibly insightful and heartfelt Q&A session followed. We saw first hand the START UP RECOVERY clients and alumni connecting, asking questions, and walking away with real recovery tools they can apply in their own lives.

"SOUND BATH SUSY" MAKES HER RETURN AS SOBER MENTOR

There are moments that feel like a full circle… and last night was one of them.

At START UP RECOVERY, we had the absolute privilege of hosting our Sober Mentor meeting at our new Main House in the Pacific Palisades with the incredible Schieffelin — also known to many as "The Copper Vessel."

What makes this one special for us… is history.

Years ago, when both of our journeys were just getting started, we were one of the first to bring Susy in to share her sound baths during our early days of START UP RECOVERY was in its first and second year. She was just beginning to build her brand / business and we wanted to give our clients something more – and the more was the healing powers of sound / frequency!

Fast forward to today — Susy is a powerful force in the wellness space: a sound healer, Reiki master, yoga teacher, sponsored by Alo Yoga no less!!!

But, most importantly, Susy is a sober daughter, mama, and wife deeply grounded in her recovery and service to others.

To have her walk into our new home, stand in front of our community, and share her experience, strength, and hope… and her entrepreneurial journey was something magical!

LA COUNCILWOMAN TRACI PARK PAYS START UP RECOVERY A VISIT!

This past week, we’re proud to officially open the doors to our new Main House at START UP RECOVERY & WELLNESS — a space built for true transformation, deep human connection, and long-term recovery and wellness.

Co-founder / Partner, Patricia Meyers, connected with Los Angeles Councilwoman Traci Park, who joined us in person to present a certificate recognizing START UP’s resilience and strength in the wake of the recent fires — an honor we don’t take lightly.

Traci took the time to walk the property, learn about our program, and the importance of our mission as an essential resource for the Palisades community and throughout southern california.

At START UP RECOVERY, we believe recovery is more than sobriety — it’s about rebuilding families, restoring purpose, and pushing the reset button on one's life.
