Now is a great time to join our Conscious Living Book Club! Our goals are to encourage self growth and community. 📚🌿

We just started a new book, “Radiance of the Ordinary” by Tara Couture.

This book is a collection of personal essays about life, death, family, motherhood, grief, nature and finding meaning in ordinary experiences.

The author reflects on how paying attention to everyday life can help us appreciate what it means to be alive.

Please read PART ONE and be prepared to share a personal observation from your life during our next meeting on Tuesday, September 22nd at 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at 1301 Palmetto Ave Ste B.

Late summer is upon us. ⋆˚꩜｡⋆

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this time of transition invites us to shift our focus toward balancing our energy and calming the mind to support our physical and emotional health. Here are some ways to nourish yourself during the season:

💧cool water + herbal teas: ice cold beverages can shock your system. opt for cool water or warm teas when possible.

🍲warm cooked food: focus on lightly cooked vegetables and soups. in TCM, warm food supports the digestive system.

🌿soft morning movement: boosts early energy and wakes up your digestive system for the day. this can look like a walk, gentle yoga, or any gentle movement that brings you joy.

💤quiet midday rest: helpful for avoiding total depletion of energy. this can look like power naps, a screen break, or getting some fresh air.

Balance is key - none of these have to be done "perfectly." Rather, they are small ways we can help even out unbalances we may be feeling this season. 🌿
